A quarterly unrestricted $2,000 grant supporting one contemporary artist.
The last text I received from my father was, “You’ve got this my son. I love you.” At the time, I was in the midst of acquiring what would become High Noon’s new location, a process that brought with it considerable stress and uncertainty.
Two nights later, on September 13th, 2024, he passed peacefully in his sleep from complications of pneumonia following a brief illness with COVID-19. After successfully battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia twice and undergoing a bone marrow transplant nearly a year earlier, the treatments that saved his life had left him immunocompromised.

Daniel Linge was an unapologetic and unconditional optimist who tirelessly believed in doing what you love, even though it frequently means choosing a path without guarantees. This grant is a way to honor that spirit and pay forward the unyielding support he always provided me in the most purposeful way I know how: supporting artists.
Like art, my dad had a remarkable ability to bridge differences in lifestyle, location, and background. More than anything, he admired people who were steadfast in their passions, walked the talk, and treated others with kindness. Since founding High Noon, I have had the privilege of working alongside artists and art world professionals who embody those same values. Every day I see people choosing difficult, uncertain paths because they believe deeply in what they create.
The Daniel Linge Artist Grant will provide $2,000 in unrestricted support to one artist each quarter, juried by a different art world professional. Submissions will be capped at 200 entries each quarter, with eligibility parameters that will vary from one period to the next.
I hope this grant not only honors my father’s memory, but carries something of his spirit forward: a belief in supporting people who pursue what they love, treating others with generosity, and building a more equitable, community-centered Art World.

Clara Ha is the founder of CHART, a contemporary art gallery dedicated to rigorous, conceptually grounded artistic practices with an emphasis on material exploration and technical craft. After serving as a partner at Paul Kasmin Gallery, she established CHART in 2019 to support long-term collaborations with artists across generations, with women comprising the majority of the gallery’s program. Through exhibitions spanning painting, sculpture, photography, and installation, Ha champions work that engages cultural memory, embodied experience, and transformation through material inquiry.
